IV Glutathione Therapy

IV Glutathione Therapy

Glutathione is composed of three amino acids: Glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. Over age 20, the body’s ability to generate glutathione begins to decline 10-15% per decade, which may cause low energy, fatigue, and a weak immune system. Free radicals are present everywhere in the environment. Toxins and free radicals stick to the glutathione molecule and allow the body a way to eliminate the toxins. While glutathione is recycled by the body at a constant pace to use again to help eliminate toxins, sometimes this process gets overloaded from too high toxin load and problems can occur.

Forms of Glutathione Therapy:

Supplementing with glutathione can be done in several ways. At ATX Infusion and Wellness, we offer IV push glutathione treatments to replenish your body of this powerful antioxidant.

Glutathione is present in certain foods that are rich in sulfur, such as broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, eggs, nuts, garlic and onions, and lean meat (such as fish or chicken) It is present in fresh fruits and vegetables if they are eaten shortly after picking. It can also be found in raw substances like unpasteurized mild or other dairy products and rare meat. Pasteurization and cooking will eliminate much of the naturally occurring glutathione.

Oral supplements are available both over-the-counter and prescription, although the digestion process may break down most of it and the body repurpose it for other uses.
